1. Brace yourself: ISIS calls for ‘retaliatory’ attacks against Christians
As readers may recall, a Koran was burned outside of the Turkish embassy in Sweden.
Conveniently, Sweden’s application for NATO membership just ‘happened’ to have hit a critical phase at the time, and Turkey (a largely Muslim nation) was the holdout to the approval of their membership. One last detail may be relevant — the man who burned the Koran was working with a pro-Putin backer.
Will Donald Trump win the 2024 election?
None of that subtle intrigue matters to ISIS. They take any provocation they can to justify terrorism against their preferred targets. And we may be facing a fresh wave of violence.
The Meir Amit Intelligence and Terrorism Information Center reported that ISIS-connected social media accounts are calling to ‘shed the blood of the perpetrator’ to this insult to Islam. With specific chilling examples of carnage mentioned, including:
Kill them wherever you meet them. If you are a tradesman, use a nail gun to nail the heads and crucify them on woodwork. If you are a truck driver, run over them until their streets are washed with their filthy blood or pour oil on their houses, while they are sleeping, and set them on fire, so that the message [not to harm Muslims and Islam] will be burned into their heads.” -The Meir Amit Intelligence and Terrorism Information Center
A new wrinkle that may change future media framing of such attacks is that ISIS now specifically names the rainbow flag among its preferred targets.
2. St. Louis Hospital under investigation for harming children
An investigation has been launched into the practices of a St. Louis medical center affiliated with their regional children’s hospital. The investigation will include claims that a doctor lied in claiming that no gender reassignment surgeries are performed on minors.
The whistleblower, an intake consultant at the Washington University Transgender Center, had joined the center hoping to ‘save trans kids’, only to be horrified at the harms being visited upon kids that had completely unrelated issues… including one girl given cross-sex hormones because she didn’t want to be pregnant.
It is claimed that minors were ‘regularly’ recommended for surgery, including one girl who came back 3 months after breast reduction asking that the breasts be ‘put back on’. Children with psychological disturbances from detention centers were among those treated. The report offered a series of graphic anecdotal examples of patient horror stories with patients having serious negative physical or psychological consequences of treatment, and an incident where a 17yo came in with an older (non-relative) male with whom she was living and, it was later learned, also being abused by.
3. House Oversight calls for Biden Family Business Documents
Hunter Biden is NOT the only Biden family member being investigated. There are specific calls for business documents from James Biden (brother) and Eric Schwerin (Hunter’s business partner.)
Senator Grassley testified that whistleblower disclosures in his possession indicate the FBI sitting on ‘significant, impactful and voluminous evidence’ of ‘potential criminal conduct by Hunter and James Biden’. Conduct about which Joe himself had, according to those disclosures, direct knowledge.
If relevant records are not produced by September 22, a subpoena may be delivered.
If President Biden is compromised by deals with foreign adversaries and they are impacting his decision making, this is a threat to national security.”
“The American people deserve transparency and accountability about the Biden family’s influence peddling. The Oversight Committee is committed to exposing the waste, fraud and abuse that has taken place at the highest levels of our government. Hunter Biden, James Biden and Eric Schwerin’s documents, records and communications are critical to this investigation.” — James Comer
Ironically, just months after Congress subpoenaed everyone and their dog over J6 (not to mention Trump’s taxes) Biden family lawyers are using the ‘lacks legislative purpose’ defense.
4. Russia’s counter-move against G7 Oil price ceiling
In their efforts to contain Putin’s war on Ukraine, G7 countries looked to choke off Russia’s money supply. With Russia among the world’s energy superpowers, they wanted to prevent Putin from profiting off of rising oil prices.
But there was no effective way to make the world comply with a global embargo (there are so many sneaky workarounds). Even if they could, the supply shock would have sent energy prices soaring around the world. So, in December, they compromised by imposing a punitive price cap on Russian oil — $60/barrel. The EU voted to approve this same cap.
Now comes Russia’s counter-move. Russia will voluntarily cut production by 500,000. They will also refuse to sell to any country directly or indirectly supporting that $60/barrel ceiling.
Why could that matter? Because as global supply shrinks, that drives markets for commodities — oil among them — higher. That impacts the cost of everything that is either made from products derived from oil, or (importantly) delivered by way of products derived from oil. Gas, diesel, plastics, synthetics, home heating, travel, and pretty much everything on store shelves.
Since Biden’s stack of Executive Orders on Day One, the Republican response to this problem is to open up domestic production so America could return to being a net producer. This approach is panned by the Green advocates on the left.
5. Second NJ Republican Councilman shot dead in a week
When news arises of two Republican council members shot dead in their cars… one week and about fifty miles apart… questions about patterns are to be expected. But are they connected?
Last week, councilwoman Eunice Dwumfour of Sayreville was shot dead in a ‘targeted attack’ with more than a dozen shots fired while driving her car. This week, Milford Borough Councilman Russell Heller, 51 was shot dead in his car after being approached by someone in a parking lot.
Authorities tell us the events are not connected. Heller’s killer is said to have been a co-worker who was later found dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Meanwhile, the search for Dwumfour’s killer is ongoing, and motives unclear, with only grainy security camera footage giving a clue as to the identity of the culprit.
