MEMORIAL DAY: Bill Whittle Gives A Whole Other Perspective On The World They Saw

This video, a few years old, still has something new to say on Memorial Day

What color IS history, really?

Is it shades of sepia?
Black and white?

The not-quite-right color photographs of the 60s and 70s?

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

Yes.
And no.

Part of the reason we can look at history as though we’re studying events on a faraway planet has everything to do with the lens — figuratively and literally — that we see them in.

Bill Whittle gave us a five minute video that goes a long way toward bridging the gap between that faraway world and our own.

A day like today seems a good time to take those five minutes to make the men and women this day represents seem a little less like faraway history and a little more like here-and-now reality.
