Journos ‘Pounce’ On Trump Fundraising Off Of Indictment News … Silent About Hillary
If Republicans pouncing is a thing, journos pouncing can be, too.
Having precisely no interest in covering news about the growing Biden bribery allegations, the news media are looking for every possible angle and flavor they can wring out of the Trump indictment story.
In this instance, they’re talking about how he is using it as a springboard for fundraising.
Former President Trump on Thursday swiftly moved toward fundraising efforts after claiming he’s been indicted in connection with the Justice Department’s investigation into his handling of classified documents.
“We are watching our Republic DIE before our very eyes. The Biden-appointed Special Counsel has INDICTED me in yet another witch hunt regarding documents that I had the RIGHT to declassify as President of the United States,” Trump wrote in an email message asking supporters to donate.
“Please make a contribution to peacefully stand with me today and prove that YOU will NEVER surrender our country to the radical Left,” the note concludes, suggesting contributions between $24 and $250. –TheHill
We’re in cycle. Somebody farts on camera or has a fly land on his head in a debate, it’s used for fundraising. Everybody who thinks they can will be using this story to cash in.
Even the Clintons.
“Bringing this back in light of recent news: Get a limited-edition But Her Emails hat and support [Onward Together] groups working to strengthen our democracy,” Clinton wrote in a tweet on Friday, including a link to buy the $32 “unstructured dad hat.”
The former 2016 presidential candidate posted the tweet a day after Trump was indicted by a federal grand jury on 37 counts over his alleged mishandling of classified documents found at his Mar-a-Lago resort. — NYPost
