Hamas, Bill Clinton explains, are ‘smart’.
How does he mean this? They are smart in the sense that they set up a lose-lose situation for their enemies in Israel.
Using human shields in hospitals and schools, Hamas leadership have created a heads-I-win-tails-you-lose situation.
If Israel exercises restraint — Hamas terrorists are free to attack with impunity.
If Israel responds with force — Hamas can tell complain that Israel is committing war crimes.
