UPenn’s Deep China Connections And Biden Think Take Are Going Under The Microscope
Chinese shell company donations, Hunter/CCP connections to be scrutinized
Any opinions about whether Penn got their money’s worth for that sweet no-show gig Joe Biden got will need to be revisited once this investigation runs its course.
The site of the first of several places where classified documents were discovered to be improperly (read: unlawfully) in Joe Biden’s possession has been suddenly thrust into the public spotlight.
But the sudden public interest in that program is less relevant to both Joe and the school than the sudden uptick of interest on the part of an oversight committee.
Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
The Biden family foreign influence probe has officially been expanded to include the university that hosted that think tank.
House Oversight and Accountability Committee Chairman James Comer announced the decision after Just the News reported Wednesday night that the Ivy League university, affectionately known as Penn, collected $67.6 million in donations from Chinese sources between 2013 and 2019, two-thirds of it while employing Joe Biden as a guest professor and hosting his Penn Biden Center.
The university’s faculty later successfully pressured the Biden Justice Department to end the FBI’s primary Chinese counterespionage effort — known as the China Initiative — that sought to root out spies in U.S. academia.
“This is very concerning,” Comer told the “Just the News, No Noise” television show. “We’re sending a letter to Penn requesting documents related to the Chinese donations. We want a list of individuals involved, whoever was involved in soliciting donations from China. We want all communications because I think this is very important.
He added, “This is another aspect of the potential for this family to be compromised.” — Just The News
Joe Biden claimed to be a ‘prof’, but he never actually taught a course. He pitched his book. He fielded some Q&A sessions. He sat on a couple of panels. But never actually taught an entire course. And yet, somehow, he still managed to rake in close to 7 figures over two years for his time at that alleged ‘think tank’.
He wasn’t the only Democrat insider given a soft landing there in the interim years between Democrat administrations.
At least 10 senior Biden administration officials held posts at the Penn Biden Center, President Joe Biden’s think tank, where classified records were discovered last year.
The Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement’s leadership included longtime Biden aides and former top Obama administration officials, many now serving in top positions across the White House and the State and Defense departments. The center is affiliated with the University of Pennsylvania, where Biden held an honorary position between 2017 and 2019.
Secretary of State Antony Blinken was the think tank’s managing director from 2017 to 2019, followed by Biden’s now-counselor, and one of the president’s closest advisers, Steve Ricchetti. U.S. Ambassador to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe Michael Carpenter succeeded them in the role.

A story from 2020 is about to become relevant again:
The University of Pennsylvania has not explained a $3 million donation from a Hong Kong shell company tied to a Chinese businessman, the Washington Free Beacon reported.
In 2019, the Ivy League school received $3 million from the Nice Famous Corporation Limited, which is owned by Chinese national Xu Xeuqing, the Free Beacon reported.
…The Hong Kong address that the Nice Famous Corporation Limited lists appears to belong to another business called the Double Rich Development Ltd, the Free Beacon reported.
Xu Xeuqing does not appear to have previous connections to the university and is a real estate developer who may have ties to Chinese Communist officials, the Free Beacon reported. He escaped prosecution after being caught up in a bribery scandal that landed one party in prison for life, according to the report. — FoxNews
In the next two years, we’ll know a lot more than we already do about what role (if any) foreign inflence played in that discovery.
