God Will Restore What The Enemy Has Destroyed

The People of God, prior to when Joel penned the aforementioned verse, had been for decades blowing God off. They gave God mere lip service. They were CINOS: Christians In Name Only. Y’know … like the majority of evangelicals today? They said they loved God but their hearts were far from Him.
Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
So, God, being the faithful Father He is, sent a multifaceted plague of locusts to wake their haggard backsides up and boy oh, boy did that work!
The locusts stripped and devoured everything they loved and relied upon causing them to finally, in desperation, return to Jehovah.
God, being unlike most mean legalists, was happy to see them come back to their senses. He not only forgave them but declared unto them that He’ll make up for the years that they lost getting devoured by locusts or in our vernacular, getting eaten alive by the bad decisions we made.
Therefore, my dear Christian, if you’ve lost years by following the superfluity of naughtiness; if you’re backslidden, cold, and indifferent to God and His great kingdom concerns; please note that He will not only forgive you but will bless you so greatly that He’ll restore what hell attempted to destroy. He’ll set you back up your heels in high fashion. You will not be browbeaten and despised by God.
Lastly, remember when God restores a fallen Christian it is always greater in quality, quantity, and kind. Run to Him and be watchful, zealous, humble, and wholehearted and watch God make up for those wasted years that “the locusts have eaten.”
