Anti-cop anarchists among the ‘Cop City’ environmentalist protesters turned a tense situation into a violent one, reportedly opening fire on police before one was killed as police returned fire.
That led to a local Antifa chapter calling for a night of rage, resulting in property damage including setting fire to a police cruiser, and the arrest of six out-of-town white protesters.
Elsewhere in America, sympathetic groups staged riots of their own in solidarity with Atlanta’s Antifa group, leading to the arrest of the Democrat House whip’s adult child.

At the same time, America braces itself for the public reaction to the developing news story in Memphis, where five police officers face charges in the death of Tyre Nichols. Body cam footage will shortly be released.
While, with all five of these officers being the same race as the victim, it would be difficult to invoke racism, the same anti-police vitriol tends to boil over regardless of whether the complaint is about ‘racism’ or ‘police’.
A State of Emergency has been declared in Georgia until February 9th, and as many as 1,000 National Guard have been made ready to respond if called upon.
