COVID DEATHS: Andrew Como Faces Lawsuit Over Endangering Nursing Home Patients

Janice Dean's husband leads the charge in suit

Janice Dean’s husband, Sean Newman, lost both parents during New York’s response to the pandemic.

His parents were in nursing homes. But because of a deadly-dangerous policy that was denounced by a chorus of voices on the right — including yours truly — from the time it was first announced.

The policy involved housing COVID-positive patients in the same facilities that vulnerable senior citizens called home.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

With options like the Mercy Ship and a dedicated pop-up hospital by Samaritan’s Purse available, it wasn’t necessary to house the sick among the aged. But the decision was made anyway.

The new lawsuit alleges: “It was not only Governor Cuomo’s pride that was leading to thousands of needless deaths, but his unmitigated greed as well.”

Specifically, Newman alleges that the former governor “tailored his policies and actions to generate material” for a $5 million book deal, according to the Post. That book “American Crisis” would highlight “leadership lessons” from the pandemic and appeared as many in the media were making comparisons between Cuomo’s leadership during the pandemic and then-President Donald Trump’s.

Cuomo’s lawyers are dismissing this as a meritless case.
