After Dobbs Ruling, Planned Parenthood Signals Financial Trouble — Here’s The 411

The left cheered the firebombing of pro-life centers... do they expect sympathy from the right now?

Many of us remember when Obama infamously said, ‘Elections have consequences, and at the end of the day I won.’ Here, Trump could make the same claim.

Anyone who has been around long enough will see there has been a massive shift in Democrat messaging from the time of the Clinton administration where the mantra was ‘safe, legal, and rare’. That has been abandoned for ‘abortion at any time and for any reason’.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

Much to the left’s chagrin, after being in control of the court for decades, Trump’s SCOTUS appointees have suddenly changed the game.

Pro-life appeals had long been a concern the court would take little interest in. But now, the courts heard them. Along came Dobbs and the rest was history.

Elections have consequences, right?

Here is one of those consequences.

Planned Parenthood announced this week that it will restructure its organization and cut staff in its national offices.
The union representing Planned Parenthood workers confirmed this week that the company planned to cut at least 80 people from its national offices in New York City and the District of Columbia.
“This comes at a time where reproductive freedom is in jeopardy and when our members are struggling under difficult economic conditions,” a statement from the union reads.
The layoffs are part of a greater restructuring plan at the company. Funding will shift toward nonabortion procedures like screenings for sexually transmitted infections and pregnancy, plus telehealth services.

Funding will shift… to nonabortion procedures…? Let’s come back to that in a moment.

Left-wing site The Daily Beast is describing the layoffs as if they are a deeply personal tragedy.

“No one feels job security because no one knows what jobs will be impacted,” one employees’ union member told The Daily Beast. “There’s not a lot of clarity around what this specifically looks like.”
“It’s really hard to get work done,” she added.

The unions representing employees in New York, San Francisco, and Washington D.C. released their own statement, claiming Planned Parenthood is “pushing out some of our movement’s brightest minds.”
“This comes at a time where reproductive freedom is in jeopardy and when our members are struggling under difficult economic conditions,” they said. “We have served PPFA during the toughest times for abortion access. We deserve more than empty claims of equity and of supporting our futures.”

Have you noticed an inconsistency here?

For YEARS we have been told that Planned Parenthood is a healthcare organization. Only partisans dismiss them as an abortion mill.

Coming back to that ‘funding abortion’ question. The entire justification for PP taking taxpayer dollars was — do you remember? ‘Only 3% of its services are abortion.’

The implication is that the other 97% are women’s health concerns having nothing whatsoever to do with abortion. If that’s true, and only 3% of their total operations is being restricted, there should be no problem staying in the black, right?

Unless that stat was based on a lie.

Minnesota Family Council included an answer to that claim as part of their list of Myths and Misconceptions about Planned Parenthood

Instead of ‘safe legal and rare’ we suddenly have have politicians championing ‘abortion’ even where the mother’s life and health are no longer a consideration. They push laws saying that ‘health care providers’ performing the abortion should not have a duty to save the life of any infant surviving the ‘procedure’ long enough to take his or her first breath.

Recall that Gov Northam is best remembered for the blackface/KKK photo? Isn’t it interesting how that photo was leaked at exactly the right moment to change the conversation from his statement supporting the infanticide.

If Gallup polling still shows that more Americans have at least SOME desire to limit abortions later in pregnancy…

Currently, support for legal abortion in the first trimester runs more than 2-to-1 in favor (67% vs. 27%). A majority of Americans (55%) are generally against abortion in the second three months, while 36% think it should be legal. Americans are most unified in their views on the third trimester, with 71% saying abortion should not be legal at this stage and 20% saying it should be. –Gallup

…it time for some honest questions about the REAL reason Democrats are so gung-ho and full-throated in their support of aborting pregnancies?

Well, Northam’s own case might offer a clue.

Planned Parenthood receives taxpayer dollars and yet they have enough sloshing around in their coffers that they can use their subsidiaries dump millions into the support of political campaigns?

In some places that might be considered a ‘clue’.

This is taken from a WaPo headline, in case anyone is crying ‘bias’ here.
