Man Stabbed In Neck At NYC Migrant Camp Where ‘Everyone Has A Knife’

Either safety concerns are overblown, or they are genuine -- Dems can't have it both ways

More than anything else, events like this have caused former sanctuary cities to rethink their policies and priorities.

When the news talks about Eagle Pass or Lukeville Arizona being overrun, it’s an abstract idea about things happening ‘over there’ someplace. But once a problem like that starts pinching spending priorites, straining resources, or driving crime in your own backyard, it is no longer seen as hypothetical and remote.

It is felt. Viscerally.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

So, too, of stories of violence erupting in the makeshift communities the government has had to provide for the influx of new arrivals.

Even the migrants — many of whom survived unspeakable horrors at the hands of cartels as they made their way in over the Darien Gap — have complained that safety in the camp at Randall’s Island is a concern.

Last week, a fight over a girl ended with a fatal stabbing. Yesterday, a violent brawl ended with a security guard stabbing the 24 yo other guy in the neck with an unidentified sharp object. Both of these happened at Randall’s Island.

Trump was denounced as a bigot for claiming that other countries ‘were not sending their best’. But with people within the camps fearing for their own safety, amid reports that ‘everyone has a knife’… even the migrants themselves give evidence that Trump was on to something.
