OOF: Dems BIG Mad At ATF Hearing When GOP Asks VERY Awkward Question

The Dems desperately tried to interrupt and deflect from the obvious answer...

If this Rep from Wisconsin had concealed the trap he was setting any more perfectly, he’d need to be wearing a Ghillie suit.

In a Congressional hearing under the name ‘ATF’s Assault on the Second Amendment: When is Enough Enough?’, Rep Tom Tiffany spared a moment to ask a question about certain firearms-relaed penalties under the legal code.

Is it correct that you can get between 5-10 years of jail time for lying on form 4473 if someone denies using prohibited drugs when they are, in fact, using them?

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

Rob Wilcox, Senior Director of Policy for Everytown for Gun Safety, an anti-2A lobby group corrected the Republican. It was not, in fact, 5-10 years. The maximum sentence has recently been adjusted upward to 15 years in prison.

That was the jab.

Now the right cross:

“Why hasn’t Hunter Biden been prosecuted for the crime that he committed? [Gasps of dismay from the audience.]

A Democrat jumped in with a point of order, complaining to the Chairman about whether this question was germaine… and THAT was who the trap had been really set for.

The time was Rep Tiffany’s to use as he wished, not subject to the same rules as a courtroom. When everyone finished laughing, Tiffany made his final point… out came the uppercut.

“I understand why you do not want Mr. Wilcox to answer that question. Because there’s a dual system of justice in America. That’s what’s going on right now. And everybody’s talking about it across America. There’s two standards of justice that are going on.”

This isn’t about Hunter Biden — it’s about a different set of rules that applies to political insiders as opposed to those who threaten them.

Joe Biden never misses a chance to denounce law-abiding gun owners, but has absolutely nothing to say about the lives that could have been cost by reckless (and lawless) gun ownership within his own family.

Media talking heads have been beating a ‘no one is above the law’ refrain for months now — but it is always directed at Trump and his supporters.

If they really believed that line, the would be just as ready to throw Hunter and the other members of the Biden family under the bus. These are people who have been outed as corrupt by some of their own business associates, with documetns to back up their allegations. But because they have a (D) after their name… they get a free pass from their media enablers.

  1. I would have a better time believing everything that you report on if you could write story line free of errors. Case in point ” with documetns to back up their allegations” straight from this article. Please get your story right.

  2. One of the tradeoffs with having shoestring conservative-leaning sites like ours is that Big Tech actively suppresses our ad revenue and reach, because we don’t march lockstep with regime-apporved views on a whole range of issues the left considers important. (Twitter files gives some clues as to what the rules os such suppression might look like.)

    Life consists of tradeoffs.
You can decide that occasional typos that have no bearing on the actual content of the information presented are a bridge too far, or you can accept that there will be typos on a site that offers its content for free while reporting factually on topics outside the scope of left-of-center media sources.

Alternatively, the world is full of Pulitzer-Prize winning typo-free news sources that have assured us that inflation was transitory, Trump was Putin’s puppet, and that following Fauci’s advice to the letter would be a silver bullet to all of our problems over the last three years.

    Pick your poison.
