Every election, America gets to ask itself Reagan’s famous question one more time. “Are you better off than you were four years ago?”
A lot of different considerations go into that answer… but earnings growth that can’t keep up with buying power lost to inflation is certainly gonna be one of them.
Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
The United Auto Workers president is one guy who ought to have a pretty good read on what his members think about the answer to that question. The answer he gave Brett Baier is the kind of thing that will have Democrat strategists eating antacids by the handful.
